Established in 1992 Pet Saver Superstore was started as a store to provide alternative pet foods & supplies to Rochester area pet lovers. There are now two locations --one in Stone Ridge Plaza in Greece, the other on Monroe Avenue in Brighton -- where they can say they ARE "Rochester's #1 Store for Healthy Pet Foods."
Russ Herman, owner of Pet Saver, found out that all pet foods were not alike. His long time loyal Rottweiler friend and family member did not do well on many well known pet foods. After some research, Mr. Herman determined that there are much healthier alternatives for peoples pets that were little known at the time. After establishing a full line store, providing pet foods, supplies, grooming, delivery and best of all pets Mr. Herman is glad to say: "From humble beginnings to selling a million pounds of pet food a year."
